New Website – A New Beginning
Well it has been a long journey, but finally I have managed to complete the building of my own website.
It has been a steep learning curve and there are still aspects that I am trying to get to grips with, but on the whole, it hasn’t turned out too badly for a first attempt.
I would like to thank a few people, who if it wasn’t for their help and encouragement this website would never have been created in the first place.
First of all, none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for my wonderful wife Joy who had to put up with my grumpiness, provided copius mugs of tea and kept me going with freshly baked scones.
Next I must give a big thank you to my three fantastic daughters Rebecca, Danielle, and Hannah.
Hannah is the graphic designer of the family. She did the original design for the website, is responsible for the J logo, chose the typeface, and made it look pretty. She does however get quite mad sometimes with dad who keeps fiddling around and altering things !
Rebecca is the techy one, and has helped with coding, and technical support and is always there whenever I got in a mess.
Danielle is full of enthusiasm, and has always given me loads of encouragement and support.
The final member of my family is our beautiful rescue greyhound Ruby,( who on reflection should probably have been called Shadow), as she never leaves my side. She sleeps most of the day as greyhounds tend to do, but when she is awake, she is full of fun and mischief. Greyhounds make really good pets, and contrary to popular belief, require very little exercise. If you fancy re-homing a greyhound, I can highly recommend Erin Hounds https://erinhounds.co.uk/. They work tirelessly in rescuing ex racing hounds from Ireland and are always on the lookout for new homes, and also donations to help them carry out this valuable work.
I would also like to thank my good mate Helen Swift who has really pushed me outside my comfort zone and encouraged me to exhibit my photos in public. Helen is a really talented weaver and produces some fantastic products. Check out her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Hem.Handwoven/
I would like to thank Chris Gilbert, not only for inspiring me but also by helping to unlock the ability to be able to compose and capture a memorable scene . Check out Chris’s website http://www.ravenseye.plus.com/ravenseye/
Last but not least, I would like to thank Steve Caddy of Pure Peak for featuring me in an article in Pure Peak Magazine https://flickread.com/edition/html/5be1531415594#50
